Well, it’s truly January.
Holidays are over but my tree is still up. It may be up another week or two, depending on my motivation. I secretly really love having the tree up. If it wasn’t for the fact that it’s another thing to try to clean and keep the kittens of destruction from well, destroying, I’d keep it up all year.
Work and school are back to regular hours, which makes me sad for the time that has come and gone so fast.
I’ve gotten about one-third of the way through my edits for book three, and hopefully will be completely finished by the end of January. Then I’ll be able to send the finished book to my beta readers to read through and give feedback.
I’m aiming for this one to be ready to publish for sometime in March (if all goes as planned!).
I’ve also been reading more. I had time to download a bunch of new books and have loved every minute, when I’ve found a minute to enjoy them. I still have a huge book closet to get through, but now that I’m back to reading a few minutes a day, I may let myself enter a Chapters without a buddy to keep me from buying too much!
My biggest problem right now is time, but I’m hoping that I’ve fixed that by booking myself a few hours here and there to accomplish the tasks at hand. I went as far as to book myself time until September, because when your schedule fills up a month ahead of time, you need to be on top of it or you turn around to discover you’ve been working straight for 3 months without any breaks!
Hardly an effective way to stay creative.
So for now, it’s me against January, and I plan to win.
Good luck in your endeavours!
