This whole January-is-more-than-half-over thing is a rude surprise. Except for the fact it means I’m a little closer to summer, I do not like the fact that I’ve gotten almost three weeks into a new year with very little to show for it.
Edits are ongoing for book three, and I’m pleased to say that I’m over half way, but I keep getting distracted by thoughts of a new plot for book six….
Focus, inner child, focus!
I never realized how much more fun it is to write a first draft, warts and all, than it is to edit and revise. While I am a fan of the polished version, I kind of wish someone else would do that all up for me.
It’s the homework part of the assignment and brings out my inner child who would rather be out playing.
On more exciting news, I’ve joined a group of local authors who are prominently displayed at the Langdon bookstore, Never Ending Stories. I just love the way the display looks! I’m so proud of everyone who managed to do this. It’s a truly amazing experience to know that you’ve written something and you can hold it in your hand in a finished book.
For now, wish me luck on revisions and I will hopefully save the treat of writing a new book until I get caught up on my homework 😉
TTFN!
