April showers

After the initial thrill of snowmelt wore off, the last few days have descended into the greyness of spring- where it can’t decide if it wants to be warm or cold.

Even though I’m frustrated I can’t enjoy a leisurely walk without wearing three layers, as I type this, the sound of birds outside my window makes me smile. It’s shortly after five am, yet there they are.

I missed them!

I’ve spent almost all of the past two weeks rewriting a book. I can not fathom the amount of edits/rewrites/projects I’ve got on the go right now.

I think as my birthday approaches my goals for this year will include learning how to say no a little more often, and the real reason I overcommit- forgetting I’m human and actually do require a few hours of sleep at night and that I simply can not do all the things.

I want to do ALL THE THINGS!!!

I’m sure others have the same issue, but considering I recently wrote a blog on how not to manage your time, it’s a little ironic. Time to take my own advice I guess.

After what felt like the never-ending week, I’m pleased to say I made it to the weekend, I did not get a ticket yesterday while chatting with the lovely policeman who stopped me, I’m alive, I’ve only hit my head once per day on average, and I finished the main project I’ve been working on.

Now I need a day off.

So, I wonder what I can work on now…..
