A snowy day has fallen in my corner of the world, leading me into a dazzling display of white as my headlights cut through the dawn.
It’s still quite dark here, and the snowflakes sparkle like tiny stars as they fall. Traffic has all sensibly decided (for once) that we will drive slower, without a single person passing me as I drove under the speed limit. Normally, I feel comfortable in almost any weather, but today I had to concede and drive like everyone else.
I’m now sitting in my cozy office, waiting for the first person to show up. I’m of two minds how I’d like the day to play out. On the one hand, it will be an expensive use of my time if no one comes today, but on the other hand, I can sit and write to my heart’s content.
I’m not entirely sure what I’m hoping for today, but as the snow continues to fall, shining in the slowly lightening sky, I breathe in a moment of stillness and smile.
I hope you got some writing time in 🙂
I did! And book 6 rough draft- complete!
