February musings

Well, another few weeks have come and gone, and it is still winter over here at the tail end of February and I have to confess an extreme level of disappointment. I’ve gotten spoiled by the last few years of warmer winters where I live along the chinook zone.

Sadly, the weather lately reminds me more of the cold and snowy prairie winters of my childhood. As an adult, this means staying inside instead of playing in the snow.

Luckily, that also means less distraction when it comes to writing!
Book four’s second? or is it third? draft is done, which means I’ve gone back to the final read through and changes for book three.

My lovely beta readers have made some helpful suggestions, and I think this will be my best book yet. Book three, The Phoenix and the Witch, will complete this trilogy with a bang. It introduces a few new characters who I love and I hope that you’ll love as well.

And the cover – well, it’s gorgeous. I can’t say enough about what a pleasure it has been working with this cover designer. I can’t wait to write more so that I can get more cover art from her!

The release date is tentatively scheduled for March 31st, if anyone is looking at preordering. This means I hope to have things online shortly and I will keep you all posted as to what happens next!
Stay warm and hopefully spring is here soon
