I’ve been wondering for the last 11 months where the year was going, but somehow December has snuck up on me again. It shouldn’t be a surprise by now, as it seems to do this every year, but I found that this year was particularly stealthy.
Maybe it has something to do with my age, or more likely, the fact that my house has been a cesspool of disease for going on 4 weeks now. In between my own courses (yup, multiple) of Strep throat, and each of the kids being sick for almost two whole weeks with influenza, I am very much done with illness and considering bleaching my house from top to bottom.
My mood can best be described in the picture below.
(my cleaning style has on occasion been described as ‘there appears to have been a struggle’ so I doubt I’ll actually follow through with the bleaching)
On more positive news, I have so much going on right now I can’t wait to share everything!
First off, the book signing went very well on November 10th. It was my first event and I loved it. It was such a rush to talk to people and have a chance to draw them into my book world in person. I love doing that in writing, but in person, people get the full effect of my animation.
I’ve always been a hand talker and boy, does talking about books bring that out in me with gusto!
The next installment of the Raven and The Witch Hunter will also be coming out soon- it’s at my lovely beta reader’s right now and I’m hopeful it will be ready to go in the next few weeks.
Once it’s been out in e-book format for a while, I’ll also be putting out a paperback with all three of the novellas included as a companion book to the first paperback. I completely love the covers and the cover artist has been very patient for me to get everything organized on my end.
(I may owe them a fruit basket or something ;p)
Next up is the holiday season. This usually means GIANT GIVEAWAYS!!!
