Happy New Year!

Well, we did it again! 2018 has only a few hours left and then 2019 is going to take the reins. I look back over last year and smile, then look ahead and wonder what the year ahead will bring for the world and for the people I love.

I hope, as always, that this year is better than last year. While I have no way to know for sure, I do know that 2018 was a great ride, full of ups and downs and everything in between.

What are your plans for 2019?

I don’t make resolutions, exactly, more plans for things I’d like to achieve. I want to continue to write, but I also want to schedule in a little more downtime than I’ve had this year. 2018 was fun but at times I wondered why I was moving so fast.

Like a shark, constantly moving in search of the next goal so that I wouldn’t suffocate.

But in 2019, my goals are simple.

Slow down. Do more yoga. Run my next half marathon

Spend time with my children, family, and friends.

Cut back at work, write more.

Although I plan big, normally I plan more deadline oriented items.

Not this year. 2019 feels like a good time to get back to self-care, self-awareness, and self-love.

So once again, as we are on the cusp of another bright and shiny new year I’ll ask you to think about your priorites.

And then, I’d really like to wish you a happy, healthy and soul-enriching new year.

See you in 2019!

  1. Thank you, Heather. I need to focus on action (gym, writing, speaking, love in action). That is not my one word per se, but right now I see it as the umbrella. Wishing you and yours a very happy entry into the new year!

    1. That’s a great plan Julie! All the best this year and looking forward to seeing where the year takes you!
